Autumn 1 Curriculum Map
P.E
3G - every Friday
3C - every Monday
In the first half of the Autumn term, the PE days will be a Friday for 3G and a Monday for 3C; we would appreciate it if your child can come to school in their PE kit- they will not need to bring their uniform to change into. PE kit is black/ navy shorts / leggings / joggers, a plain white t-shirt and trainers.
Outdoor Learning
This year, all Year 3 children will be taking part in Outdoor Learning.
3C will be taking part in these sessions during the first half of the Autumn term and then 3G in the second half of the Autumn term; these sessions will take place on a Friday afternoon in all weather. The children will need to come to school every Friday in suitable clothing that you do not mind if they get dirty. These will need to include a waterproof coat ( waterproof trousers if you have them), long sleeved top, long trousers and sensible shoes (no open toes).
Homework
We would like the children to read their banded reading book at least three times a week. They can change their reading book whenever they are ready for a new one. Every Friday we ask the children to hand in their reading record books. Reading for pleasure and enjoyment is something that we will continue to encourage; any reading completed can be written in their reading record book.
In Year 3 we focus on the 3, 4 and 8 times tables. We also recap and practise the 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
