Welcome to the Spring term in Year 1

At the beginning and end of the school day, there will always be a member of the classroom door; please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns.

 During our topic work this term we are learning about the season of Spring. Also, mammals and the United Kingdom. 

Please look at our topic map at the bottom of the page for an overview of each curriculum area. This will help you to support your child's learning at home.

Key information - Year 1

PE is on Wednesdays. Please remember to wear trainers and PE kit.

Forest school is also on Wednesdays - children need to come with warm coats, hats, scarves and gloves (while it is cold) and wellies for outside (as it can be muddy)

Children can change their reading book daily if they have read it the previous night but we would encourage you to read each book twice to help confidence and fluency.

Books can only be taken home in a bag.

Children need to have their Yellow reading diaries in school every day.

Plain water only in water bottles please.
